I'm so stoked for Capitol Hill Block Party this July weekend full of hipsters and good fucking music. The best part? I get to spend it with Ilysia! I love her and this band, Telekinesis, that we will see there. This is a short video of Michael Benjamin Lerner of the band doing an acoustic version of Rust for a Crocodile Cafe video series, a venue I love seeing bands at (like Tennis). I really recommend checking out both bands!
The CHBP starts Friday, but I'll be going just Saturday starting at 1pm and Sunday ending at 2am. Finally a music festival with a reasonable schedule. As much as I love our Bumbershoot, I like that CHBP knows who's attending and who's not, coughcough babies. It isn't mean to say I'm glad babies won't be there. They shouldn't be there, this isn't Yo Gabba Gabba, okay folks. I'm not saying it'll hardcore and shit, but finally I don't have to wake up before 8am to watch decent bands until like 6 when they get good.
And I can't forget about my beloved Best Coast, one of my favorite bands right now that Ilysia, Veronica, and I road tripped down to Portland to see last year. It was awesome then and I'm expecting them to blow my socks off again. I wish Best Coast was my boyfriend.

it was a lovely weekend and i wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else but you! thanks for the support saturday night too, haha :) here's to many more shows together forevermore.
