I'm in love with this photo project right now: theburninghouse.com. What would you take from your home if it were to burn down? Me? My home is a little bit of everywhere, I honestly don't feel like I have a home-home right now. I'm in a weird transition stage in my life where I come home from college for the summer, but it's never been same like when I left it; I'm moving into a new apartment (hopefully) with my boyfriend, and wherever he is, I am home. But as far as possessions go, like the really important ones you don't really want to take anywhere... well, those probably won't be there. So, now, tomorrow... ten years from now... I wonder what my photo would look like.
The photo above is one of my favorites: Jennifer K from LA. Minus the small jar of her first dog's fur. It's cute, but like... why? I love dogs, but girl, that shit's weird.
If your house was burning, what would you take with you? It's a conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question.
