Happy Monday! Here's a small recap of my convivial weekend: I saw my best friends Samantha, Damaris, and Sophie in Bellingham, I celebrated a successful 21 run, yay Sophie - you're not old! (Sure, my feet were dying at the end of the night, but that spells success does it not?), I definitely enjoyed my mini-vacay + a mini-road trip with the love of my life... so I would say successful weekend. Oh wait, that was only Thursday through Saturday, but it felt so weekend-y! I rested Saturday, then Sunday was my first bridal shower! Okay, I mean the first one I've ever attended... Haha, it was Katherine's bridal shower and it was at a lovely home on Bainbridge Island. Although I was 10 minutes late due to the fact that it was on Bainbridge Island and it took me 2 wrong turns and a pull-over-to-check-my-directions, I had such a fun time! Katherine is so fun and nice, a bit loquacious and I love that. I think she saved us all more than a few silent moments if she weren't. The gifts were all adorable of course and I'm glad mine was a success: a Bling Bridal Hoodie. Can't go wrong if it's a special request from the bride-to-be, am I right? Plus my VS connections? I mean, that gift was a no-brainer. She'll be the blingiest bride at the ball.
All in all, great food and great company all weekend long. Sophie, happy birthday, darling. Trust me, 20's are so much better than those more-than-awkward-enough teen years. I'll see you again soon for Samantha's 21 festivities.
Katherine, I know chances are you won't read this, but I'd still like to put it out in the internet-universe that I'm so happy to have met you and I hope that it'll be the first of many (I'm holding you to that Mariner's game offer!). You're so lucky to have such a supportive group of women around you, especially when things can get stressful as the wedding approaches. But we all know it'll be the best and I can't wait to go! Shit, I can't wait 'til my own wedding, or even the bridal shower (hello, lace and gifts!) haha. I know who to go when the day comes though ;)
Next time we talk about how Nick and I are taking one of those steps in the relationship where it's a big deal or something... (:
